Happy Twelfth of October

It’s travel day for my co-editor, and a state holiday in much of the United States, dedicated, more than somewhat problematically, to Christopher Columbus. We don’t have a new review for you today, but there’s plenty of good reading and listening in the archives, and more on the way.

If you’re fortunate enough to be in temperate climes, go admire the turning of the leaves as Summer shifts to Fall.

I’ll be reading the excellent What Makes This Book so Great by Jo Walton. I’ve been wanting to sit down and read it carefully since I first heard about it. And I see Greg van Eekhout‘s Pacific Coast waiting, the third volume of his California Bones trilogy about Osteomancer Daniel Blackland.
