Rowan Inish, former senior writer, is a lifelong resident of Somerville, Massachusetts, which he steadfastly claims is the true Hub of the Universe; Boston, he says, is just a suburb with delusions of grandeur. A graduate of Wesleyan University with a degree in ethnomusicology (his thesis performance was an attempt to adapt traditional Celtic rhythms to the Javanese gamelan; the concert met with decidedly mixed reviews), Rowan works in a coffeeshop/used bookstore in Somerville. He has recently completed his first novel, Beowulf's Daughter, and is looking for a publisher for it. In the meantime he contributes the occasional review and harangues customers into reading more Evangeline Walton.
